The Elite Mock CM Punk On Dynamite

The Elite - Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, Brandon Cutler in AEW

The Elite took aim CM Punk in his hometown of Chicago as the controversy surrounding the four men shows no sign of going away.

Death Triangle (PAC, Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix) now has a solid 2-0 lead in the AEW World Trios Championship best-of-seven series against The Elite (Kenny Omega, Nick and Matt Jackson of The Young Bucks) after the former took out the latter during the Wednesday, November 23, 2022 edition of AEW Dynamite.

Death Triangle Has A 2-0 Edge Over The Elite

The match came to a close after Matt Jackson was attempting to use a hammer against Penta El Zero Miedo, however, Penta would counter using a hammer of his own.

Prior to the bout, it was mentioned that PAC broke his nose at All Elite Wrestling’s AEW Full Gear pay-per-view event — PAC was seen wearing a mask on Dynamite.

When The Elite made their entrance, as well as throughout the match, the Chicago audience yelled “CM Punk” and “F**k The Elite.” In the bout, Omega made several references to CM Punk, with one having Omega do the “Go To Sleep post” and hit PAC with a GTS for a 1-2 pin count.

Omega also took a chunk out of PAC by biting him, which was a reference to CM Punk’s trainer Ace Steel reportedly biting Omega at their AEW All Out backstage brawl. The Young Bucks also got involved, with Matt Jackson failing a Buckshot Lariat, which is a reference to Punk doing the same on several occasions during his bout against “Hangman” Adam Page at AEW Double or Nothing.

Since his media scrum comments and the backstage brawl at AEW All Out with The Elite, CM Punk hasn’t been seen on the company’s programming. Both Punk and The Elite were suspended for the brawl, and Ace Steel lost his job altogether.
