“Time Is Running Out” – Bryan Danielson Hints At Retirement

WrestleDream

Bryan Danielson has revealed that his time in the ring will come to an end sooner rather than later.

Danielson recently made his return to the ring following several weeks out of action due to a broken forearm. In his first match back, the star took on Ricky Starks in a brutal strap match that left both men bloodied and battered.

On the latest edition of Collision, The American Dragon addressed the crowd and gave an update on his pro wrestling future. The star says he made a promise to his daughter that when she turns seven, he’ll start to finish up his career, and she is currently six years old.

“I told my daughter, that once she turned seven, I would start finishing up on my career, and she’s six right now, and I’m a man who keeps my promises, especially to the people I love. So, guess what, time is running out.”

At that, the crowd began a huge “No!” chant, but Danielson reassured them that it wasn’t over yet.

“But that said, I will not go gently into that good night! If you think I will, you don’t know who the hell I am!”

In recent news, Bryan Danielson revealed his plans for retirement.

Bryan Danielson set for dream match against NJPW star Zack Sabre Jr.

Even if it could be his last, Danielson has plans to make the next year the most epic of his career, and he got started straight away, calling his shot for WrestleDream by challenging NJPW’s Zack Sabre Jr.

“I’m calling my shots, and my next shot is this. 10/1, Seattle, Washington, WrestleDream. I wanna fight the guy who calls himself the best technical wrestler in the world. Zack Sabre Jr.”

Later in the night, Tony Khan made the match official for WrestleDream.

The bout was originally scheduled to happen at Forbidden Door in 2022 and both Danielson and ZSJ had already made their intentions of facing each other clear in the months prior to the show.

Unfortunately, Danielson suffered a concussion at that year’s Double or Nothing event and was unable to compete against Sabre Jr. Instead, Claudio Castagnoli made his debut at the AEWxNJPW supershow and defeated the Englishman.
