CM Punk Mocks WWE & TNA Rumours; Jokes About AEW Creative Input

CM Punk making his entrance as the 'Real' AEW World Champion

In his latest public appearance, CM Punk made light of rumours surrounding his wrestling future and his creative input on AEW Collision!

CM Punk has once again stirred the wrestling rumour pot during his latest commentary appearance for Cage Fury Fighting Championship. In the past, Punk has poked fun at his AEW termination and even hinted at “going to other promotions” whilst commentating for the promotion.

The former AEW World Champion was back at the commentary booth for CFFC 127 last night and it didn’t take long for co-commentator John Morgan to start making light of recent rumors of CM Punk heading to the soon-to-be TNA and that WWE was prepared to field media questions on Punk’s status recently.

Morgan: “We said it’d be ‘Total Non-Stop Action’ and it has been ‘Total Non-Stop Action’ and now we bring in the CEO Rob Haydak. Before we get started, have you been prepped on any potential CM Punk questions or should we skip over those tonight?”

Punk: “Oh yeah, how are you guys going to make the fool today?!”

Haydak: “The guy needs a job and you’re sitting here breaking his chops!”

Haydak couldn’t resist poking fun at the situation either, though. Throughout his appearance on the broadcast, a pocket square featuring what appears to be the WWE Championship belt can be seen poking out of his suit jacket.

At another point in the show, Punk was discussing the “lore” of a fight on the card which led Morgan to quip, “You see what happens when you let CM Punk book a show?” Punk shot back, “You get an entertaining show.” The two then joked that no one has ever given Punk his own show – in reference to Punk having creative input on AEW Collision.

Eddie Kingston Recently Admitted He Never Liked CM Punk

Eddie Kingston didn’t hold back with his thoughts when CM Punk was brought up in a recent interview, plainly admitting that he and Punk “don’t like each other.”

He went on to say that he wishes Punk was still with AEW as he was a huge help to the company as a whole but on a personal level, Eddie Kingston doesn’t wish him well or bad in his future.
