They Would Have “Beat The Sh*t” Out Of Jack Perry “Back In The Day” – Bully Ray

Jack Perry at AEW All In with a car with REAL GLASS

Bully Ray has given his thoughts on Jack Perry‘s actions at AEW All In.

It was reported back in August that Perry had wanted to use real glass in a proposed spot to write him off TV while he took a vacation. The angle would have seen him being put through the windshield of a car.

While the spot had been approved by AEW management, CM Punk argued with Perry that using real glass wasn’t necessary before the argument was reportedly settled.

However, on the All In Zero Hour pre-show, Perry used a windshield spot during his match with Hook, and before doing a move into it told the camera “It’s real glass, cry me a river.”

This led to a physical altercation with Punk backstage that ultimately led to Punk being fired from the company while Perry was suspended.

Bully Ray thinks Jack Perry would have been dealt with a lot differently “back in the day”

During the latest edition of Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray gave his thoughts on how the altercation should have been handled by AEW.

The WWE Hall of Famer blasted Perry for being an “ignorant young boy” and said a veteran should have sat him down and explained why he shouldn’t have said what he did.

“Jungle Boy is an ignorant young boy who doesn’t understand this industry. He doesn’t know better. He’s a young, brash kid who doesn’t know better. And I’m sure the dirt sheets are gonna have a field day with this one. But he needs to be sat down by a veteran like a Taz, like a J.R., like a Billy Gunn, one of those guys, and made to understand and educate him as to why you don’t say those things on camera for a multitude of reasons.”

He went on to claim that Perry was “flexing” and if he had pulled something similar in his day, he would have “had the sh*t beaten out of him.”

“He doesn’t know any better. He’s flexing when he shouldn’t be flexing, and flexing for no reason.

“Back in the day, there was a way to handle young boys like Jack Perry. Some of those ways still apply. And I’m not talking about beating the s*** out of him, but back in the day, that’s what would have happened.”

When it comes to Tony Khan’s reaction, Ray admitted the AEW CEO would have been too busy to deal with it at the time, although thinks he should have spoken to both parties after the show.

“Tony could not take all of his attention away from producing the opening of one of the biggest wrestling shows in history to go talk to young boy schmuck face Jack Perry about saying stupid s*** and getting into an altercation with Punk. After it was over, absolutely, Tony Khan should’ve spoke to both of them.”
