Christian Refuses To Speculate On Edge’s AEW Future

Edge and Christian

Christian Cage refuses to acknowledge the rumours regarding Edge possibly joining AEW.

Cage has been closely linked to The Rated R Superstar throughout his wrestling career, with the duo winning the Tag Team Championships seven times in WWE. Still close friends to this day, Cage is someone who knows Edge better than most and may be able to give fans an update on what’s next for the WrestleMania main eventer. However, anyone expecting an update at All Out was disappointed.

Speaking at the post-show press conference, Cage was asked if he thinks there is any possibility that his long-time friend could become All Elite in the near future. Cage corrected the reporter by stating that he does not want to talk about the Hall of Famer:

“I only talk about myself, and Luchasaurus,” Cage said. “I have no friends other than Luchasasurus. I’ll leave it at that.”

Following Edge’s final match on his current deal on the August 18th episode of SmackDown, rumours started circulating that after 25 years with WWE the former World Champion may be looking to finish out his career in a different promotion. To silence any speculation online, Edge would post a video to update everyone that he needs to assess his options.

Cage accompanied TNT Champion Luchasaurus to the ring for a title defence against Darby Allin. Cage would be integral in ensuring that Luchasaurus walked out with the title as he would distract Allin on multiple occasions and threaten to hit Nick Wayne with a con chair to, a move also popularised by former tag partner Edge.

It has since been reported that the Rated R Superstar could make an appearance at the upcoming WrestleDream pay-per-view.
