Update On CM Punk’s Professional Relationship With The Elite

CM Punk makes his AEWxNJPW Forbidden Door entrance

The Elite have their own way about handling the tension between themselves and CM Punk.

The news keeps coming out about all the drama surrounding this past weekend at Collision tapings in Greensboro as several names were reportedly not allowed on the premises Saturday, including Ryan Nemeth and Christopher Daniels. Adam Page was another name in question, who was set to do a pre-tape on Saturday, but it’s currently not confirmed that he was asked to leave.

However, a new report from Fightful Select says Punk still wants to talk to The Elite (Page, The Young Bucks and Omega), but they have refused. As far as Page is concerned, one source says he typically avoids those situations and hasn’t been interested in working with Punk for over a year.

Could This Be A Work Between CM Punk & The Elite?

With Punk putting Page’s “peg” power into question during a post-Collision promo, the question could continue to be if this is all a work. According to Fightful, sources on Collision says that Punk could be trying to work himself into an angle but sources close to The Elite says it makes the EVPs and Page want to distance themselves even more from it all. Punk reportedly regrets how his promo on Page came off.

Along with Nemeth and Daniels not being allowed backstage, Fightful confirmed that flights to Greensboro for Matt Hardy and Isiah Kassidy were changed. Hardy has been a long-time advocate for The Young Bucks and Punk seemingly wants to limit any sorts of drama in the Collision locker room.
