Long before she was a rising star in WWE NXT, Cora Jade was one of CM Punk’s biggest fans.
At Survivor Series on November 25th, CM Punk made a shocking return to WWE after exiting the company in January of 2014 under acrimonious circumstances. While some stars are reportedly upset that he’s being welcomed back, former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion Cora Jade found herself emotional at his return.
The star took to social media to share a video of herself attending an autograph signing at the age of 16. In the video, CM Punk asks her why she’s crying, and she responded, “I just love you so much.” Punk said that the sentiment was sweet of her, but he didn’t want her to cry.

In a reply to Jade’s post about her mood being the same 8 years later, a fan posted a video of another interaction between the two, this time as part of a Q&A. After Punk acknowledges her as one of his best fans who comes to all of his events she asks the star what his favorite part of attending fan events is. Punk first joked that the guy asking a question immediately before her was his favorite before turning more serious and saying:
“It’s meeting people like you, people who are genuine, people who are nice, people who support me, because I appreciate it. And I know I have that reputation of being a guy that’s hard to approach and stuff like that, but this is the time and the place for it, so I’m always super appreciative of everybody who comes out.”
Jade then took to the microphone once more to give a humorous compliment to Punk, saying:
“I tell people all the time you’re not as bad as you seem.”
Punk laughed at this, joking that it was “sort of a compliment.”

After a four-month absence, Cora Jade made her long-awaited WWE return at NXT Deadline.
