Cora Jade has made her return at NXT Deadline

Jade was last seen on the July 25th edition of NXT, where her rivalry with Dana Brooke came to a head in a Kendo Stick match. Brooke came out on top in the hard-fought contest, and following the match, Cora Jade issued a cryptic tweet, simply saying ‘Bye.’

This was followed up the next week on NXT TV, as footage aired showing Jade in the women’s locker room packing up her things before saying she was leaving NXT and storming out.

Now, over four months later, NXT’s Resident Mean Girl has made an impactful return to the developmental brand by attacking Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria.

Cora Jade Sets Sights On Women’s Championship At NXT Deadline

Deadline saw Blair Davenport defeat Tiffany Stratton, Lash Legend, Kelani Jordan, and Fallon Henley in an Iron Survivor Challenge Match to determine the Number 1 Contender for the Women’s Title.

Davenport was tied on two points with Legend towards the end of the bout. But after Legend was consigned the penalty box, Davenport was able to take it up to three with a last-minute pin on Henley. Legend was released from the box, but Davenport ran away from her as the timer expired.

Afterwards, Davenport got on the mic to warn Valkyria that the clock was ticking on her title reign. Before Valkyria could respond, she was blindsided by Cora Jade, who held the title up over her fallen foe.

Later in the night, Jade said she had made her intentions crystal clear, but will reveal her next moves on December 12th.

NXT Deadline also saw Dragon Lee capturing gold for the first time in his WWE career as well as CM Punk making a surprise appearance.
