WWE Hall Of Famer’s Son Exits AEW; Removed From Roster Page

The son of a WWE Hall of Famer has reportedly departed AEW after being removed from the company’s roster page.

Mere months after beginning his professional wrestling training at The Nightmare Factory, Brock Anderson signed with AEW. He debuted in the promotion in June 2021 and was introduced by his father, Arn Anderson, as the newest member of Cody Rhodes’ faction The Nightmare Family.

Anderson has mostly competed on Dark and Dark: Elevation over the last few years. Whilst he made occasional TV appearances as part of The Nightmare Family throughout 2021, these became infrequent after Cody and Brandi Rhodes’ departures in February 2022.

Earlier this week, fans noticed that Anderson’s profile had been removed from the roster page, usually an indication that a talent is leaving the promotion. This was the case with Sonny Kiss last month.

PWInsider reports that Brock Anderson has now exited AEW after more than two years with the company, with Fightful Select later confirming the report. An internal email announcing Anderson’s departure is said to have been sent out yesterday with the belief being that his contract had expired.

He competed in his final AEW match on the August 12th edition of AEW Collision where he unsuccessfully challenged Luchasaurus for the TNT Championship. This marked his first televised match in the promotion since April 2022, 16 months prior.

Brock Anderson Is The Tenth Star To Leave AEW In 2023

Brock Anderson’s departure marks the tenth star to leave the promotion this year.

CM Punk and Ace Steel were both released from the company last month whilst seven other names have left due to their contracts expiring. These include Leva Bates, Trench, Brian Pillman Jr, Sonny Kiss, Jade Cargill, Zack Clayton, and Jeeves Kay (VSK).

In a new social media update, Brock Anderson has confirmed his AEW departure on social media.
