Released AEW Star Confirms Departure

Brock Anderson is no longer a part of AEW.

Anderson’s departure was seemingly confirmed a few days prior as he was removed from the AEW roster page. However, in a new update from the recently departed star, the news is official.

Taking to social media, Anderson posted the following update, thanking everyone who has supported him:

To those that’ve supported me and helped me THANK YOU. To my detractors, that’s your right to an opinion. All I can do, to quote @dustinrhodes is, “Keep Steppin”. On to the next chapter… #prowrestling

Despite the announcement of the departure taking place in October, according to Brock’s father Arn Anderson, the contract expired at the end of August. At the time, the Hall of Famer was hopeful that his son would be able to get a new deal with All Elite Wrestling, stating the following on his podcast:

“Not yet. It’s up at the end of the month … end of August.

“So we will see. I hope so. You know, he’s one of those guys guys like him and [Hook] and a lot of young talent that has a lot to offer, just haven’t had a chance yet. I hope things work out and we’re able to stay.”

When Did Brock Anderson Last Wrestle In AEW?

Anderson’s final match with the promotion came on the August 12th episode of Collision where he unsuccessfully challenged Luchasaurus for the TNT Championship.

Anderson’s debut match saw him team with one of the founders of the company and another son of a wrestling legend, Cody Rhodes. Together, the second-generation stars defeated the team of Aaron Solo and QT Marshall.
