John Cena Praises The Miz As One Of WWE’s Most Underrated Stars

John Cena had high praise for long-time rival The Miz recently, claiming him to be one of the most underrated WWE stars ever!

Cena and The Miz have had many storied matches in rivalries stemming all the way back to the late noughties. Most notably the two faced off in the main event of WrestleMania 27 where Miz successfully defended the WWE Championship, thanks to interference from Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

Speaking during a WWE exclusive video with Cathy Kelly after last night’s SmackDown, Cena gave his thoughts on the entire WWE Payback card and particularly The Miz’s match against rising star LA Knight.

The Hollywood star called Miz one of WWE’s most underrated stars ever before going on to discuss his respect for Knight and his persistence in doing things his way. As host of the event, Cena noted that he’d be keeping a close eye on the bout.

“That’s a tough one to call. I have a lot of mutual respect for The Miz. I think he’s one of the most underrated WWE superstars in history.

I also have a tremendous amount of respect for LA Knight because his trajectory is that of persistence. You want to talk about somebody never giving up, I have it on a shirt and I try to live it every day, he walks that talk and he does it with his own style, and he’s not afraid to be who he is here, and speaking as somebody who started as the Dr. of Thuganomics, I have a lot of respect for that.

That’s one I’m watching with a close eye because, often in competition, one superstar has something to prove, and the other has something to hold onto. This matchup is special because both have something to prove.”

When Is John Cena’s Next WWE Match?

John Cena is set to compete in his second WWE match of the year at WWE Superstar Spectacle on September 8th.

At the event in Hyderabad, India, Cena is set to team up with World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins to take on Imperium’s Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci. Also announced for the show is Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn versus Indus Sher as well as Rhea Ripley versus Natalya.

In the latest praise for The A Lister, WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry declared that The Miz is one of the top 5 mic performers of all time.

Approaching 20 years in WWE, The Miz has revealed one goal he has yet to accomplish.
