The Miz Comments On WWE Goal He Is Yet To Accomplish

The Miz has one accolade he wants to obtain in his WWE career.

The A Lister is not shy when it comes to bragging about his achievements. As fans are frequently reminded, Miz is a 2-time Grand Slam Champion, successfully cashed in Money in the Bank twice and was victorious in the main event of WrestleMania against John Cena.

Approaching 20 years since his introduction to fans as a contestant on Tough Enough, the former World Champion still has more that he wants to achieve as a professional wrestler. His highest priority right now is to recapture a championship he last won in 2018.

While being interviewed by TNT Sports, Miz was asked if there was anything left to achieve in wrestling. The A Lister responded that he wants to become Intercontinental Champion again so he can break another WWE record.

Break the record for most days of having the Intercontinental Championship. And, most reigns, like I’m one reign away for being tied for being number one. And I’m I think 25 days away from having the title the most out of anyone, I think Pedro Morales has had me beat right now by like 25 days. So that would be I mean, that would be a pretty cool feat. It’d be just another accolade to add to my already pretty stout career.

Miz’s calculations are correct; he has held the championship for 592 days across his eight reigns. Morales held the championship for 617 days across 2 reigns.

Miz last won the Intercontinental Championship on the 25th anniversary special of Raw. Miz would defeat Roman Reigns and hold the title until WrestleMania 34, where he lost to Seth Rollins. Miz’s next opportunity at becoming champion will be at Survivor Series, where he challenges the wrestler with the single longest-reign of the Intercontinental Champion in history, Gunther.

The Miz Praised By WWE Legend

Miz is regarded as one of the unlikely success stories in professional wrestling. With a background in reality TV and getting into WWE in an unconventional way, the former World Champion had heat in the locker room from day 1. Many did expect Miz to last 20 days in the company, never mind 20 years. Looking back on the near 2-decade career of The A Lister, former rival John Cena praised The Miz as one of the most underrated stars in WWE.

During the same interview, the WWE Superstar heavily praised former rival LA Knight.
