The Undertaker Gives Surprising Reason Why Some WWE Fans Are Upset With Him

The Undertaker has revealed why he has angered some WWE fans.

One of the most respected names in wrestling, many credit the Hall of Famer for his dedication to the craft, longevity and willingness to give back to the business at times when he didn’t have to.

Along with the character and in-ring work of The Phenom, many fans were captivated by the sheer aura of Undertaker. With accounts of what The Deadman was like out of the ring only heard through the grapevine, the former World Champion would not be seen on chat shows in the same manner as other top stars such as The Rock or John Cena. On rare occasions when Taker would make a non-WWE televised appearance, it would likely be in character.

Fast forward to the current decade and things are a lot different. Along with regularly appearing on podcasts, the Hall of Famer frequently holds spoken word shows around the world and has recently launched a podcast of his own to lift back the curtain even more. While some fans enjoy the never-before-told accounts, others would rather the tales be kept a secret.

Speaking on the Six Feet Under podcast, Undertaker revealed that a select group of fans have become disgruntled at his new business ventures as it ruins their childhood memories of him as the mysterious Deadman:

“There are people out there that are still mad at me. There are a ton of people that love the fact that I’m talking and doing the 1 Deadman Show and Six Feet Under, but there are still a large group of people that are really upset with me because I don’t talk about taking souls and I’ve kind of opened up, to the point where people have accused me of ruining their childhood,”

The Undertaker Reveals Dream Match He Never Had

Having been a part of WWE for 3 decades, Taker would have high-profile matches with just about every major name that has ever wrestled in the company. However, as The Undertaker would reveal on his podcast, there is one name he never did get to wrestle and always wanted to.

H/t to Fightful.
