The Undertaker Reveals The One WWE Opponent He Always Wanted To Face

The Undertaker WrestleMania 30 Entrance

The Undertaker opened up about the one opponent he wished he could have faced in WWE.

Throughout his decades-long career, Undertaker faced some of the top stars in the promotion, but according to the man himself, one particular bout eluded him. Speaking to Bill Apter for Sportskeeda, the Hall of Famer explained that he always wanted to face Andre the Giant.

“The match that I’d wish I had that I never got the opportunity to is with Andre [The Giant]. That was always a dream of mine. Andre’s health was really — when I got here, his health was already in decline with his back and his knees and everything. It was crazy, Tim White and I discussed it many times — It’s funny. Andre told me early on, ‘Kid, one day, me and you.’”

Continuing, The Deadman explained that Andre even had an angle in mind for the two of them to work together, but the giant’s health deteriorated too quickly for a bout between the two to take place.

“He had an idea, he had an angle that he wanted to do with me. Andre didn’t like big guys, but he loved me for the little amount of time we got to spend together and he wanted to do business with me. His health was just at a point where we couldn’t do it.”

This isn’t the first time The Undertaker has spoken about wanting to wrestle Andre the Giant. In a previous interview, he revealed that despite Andre saying he had an idea for an angle between the two of them, he’d never tell The Deadman what that angle was.

In a new episode of his podcast, The Undertaker revealed why some WWE fans are angry with him.
