What Happened During AEW's Texas Chainsaw Massacre Deathmatch On Dynamite

On the August 16th episode of AEW Dynamite, fans witnessed a spectacle like no other as Jeff Jarrett and Jeff Hardy clashed in a Texas Chainsaw Massacre Deathmatch.

The highly anticipated bout was sponsored by the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre video game. Leading up to the match, Jeff Jarrett teased fans with the possibility of Leatherface making an appearance. And true to his word, the iconic horror character showed up at ringside, brandishing his infamous chainsaw. The audience erupted in excitement as they witnessed this unexpected twist.

The match itself was a chaotic battle that spilt out of the ring and throughout the entire arena. The Hardy Party, consisting of Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, Ethan Page, and Isiah Kassidy, found themselves in a wild brawl with Jarrett’s group, which included Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt, and Satnam Singh. The action was intense, with weapons being used and fake blood being dumped on the wrestlers.

In a stunning moment, Jeff Hardy executed a Swanton Bomb through a table, seemingly securing the victory. However, Jay Lethal intervened, breaking up the pin and keeping the match alive. Just when it seemed like the tide was turning, the man who appeared to be Leatherface unleashed his chainsaw on Matt Hardy, Ethan Page, and Isiah Kassidy, leaving the audience in awe.
