AEW Dynamite featured The Young Bucks facing The Gunns, Jeff Hardy against Jeff Jarrett in a unique match and more.

This week’s episode of Dynamite took place at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. We don’t know how many people on this show are banned from Collision because of CM Punk, but some of them certainly are. It was called a “Fight for the Fallen” episode to raise money for victims of the Maui, Hawaii wildfires.

Match #1: Orange Cassidy defeated Wheeler Yuta to retain the International Championship.

After the match, The Blackpool Combat Club’s Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli joined Yuta to attack Cassidy. There were saves by Best Friends and Lucha Bros, along with Eddie Kingston. That led to Kingston saying that at All In his team will be against the BCC in a Stadium Stampede match in Wembley Stadium. We found out later it would be a 6-on-6 match.

Kenny Omega did a sitdown interview with Jim Ross on Tuesday in Jacksonville. As Omega spoke about his broken relationship with “uncle” Don Callis, that’s when Don showed up to interrupt. Omega was attacked by Konosuke Takeshita, Jay White & Juice Robinson.

There was a promo from “Hangman” Adam Page “at a hospital” checking on Omega. Page set up the All In tag team match with Page, Omega & Kota Ibushi against Takeshita, White & Robinson.

Chris Jericho and Don Callis did a promo segment with Jericho saying he would join the Don Callis Family. However, Callis turned on Jericho by calling him a “narcisstic egomaniac” among other things. Jericho ripped on Callis because nobody cares about him and called Don an “a**hole” among other things. Konsuke Takeshita ran out to attack Jericho, who was in control of him and then Will Ospreay attacked Jericho as well. Ospreay hit Jericho in the head with a chair as well, which left Jericho bloody. Callis hit Jericho over the head with a painting and Jericho was bleeding. Sammy Guevara ran out with a bat to save Jericho from the attack.

Jack Perry was featured in a video saying he planned on retiring the FTW Championship next week.

Match #2: Darby Allin & Nick Wayne defeated Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona with Allin getting a win for his team. After the match, Sting warned Swerve & AR Fox about their Coffin Match against Sting & Allin at All In on August 27th.

Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF), the AEW World Champion, did an in-ring promo with his friend Adam Cole. They both talked about how they would win their World Title match at All In. Aussie Open arrived and MJF/Cole took care of them. MJF & Cole hugged with Cole staring at the AEW World Title.

At All In on August 27th at Wembley Stadium, Chris Jericho will face Will Ospreay. Jericho challenged Ospreay to the match.

Match #3:Jeff Jarrett defeated Jeff Hardy in a Texas Chain Saw Massacre Death Match. – There was a lot of interference from allies of both guys. Jay Lethal hit Hardy with a hammer and Satnam Singh hit Hardy with a Chokeslam leading to Jarrett getting the win. Also in the match, horror movie icon Leatherface made his AEW debut.

Match #4: Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D defeated The Bunny with The Stomp.

The win by Baker means AEW Women’s Title match at All In is Hikaru Shida defending the title against Toni Storm, Saraya and Britt Baker.

The Acclaimed (Max Caster & Anthony Bowens) made their entrance for a match against unknown wrestlers. The lights went out and came back on with AEW Trios Tag Team Champions House of Black’s Malakai Black, Brody King & Buddy Matthews in the ring with Julia Hart. HOB destroyed The Acclaimed. Julia had Billy Gunn’s white boots with him when he “retired” last month. This is obviously teasing Gunn coming back to team with The Acclaimed against House of Black.

The Young Bucks Won The Main Event Of Dynamite

Match #5: The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) defeated The Gunns (Austin & Colten Gunn). – The Gunns tried to cheat to win, so The Young Bucks did it right back to them by having Matt get the pinfall win while Nick was holding onto his brother. The referee never saw it.

After the match, Jay White & Juice Robinson joined The Gunns in attacking the Young Bucks. The AEW Tag Team Champions FTR made the save by hitting the Shatter Machine. FTR and Young Bucks had a staredown to end the show.

There wasn’t much promotion for next week’s Dynamite. They just mentioned the All In matches a lot.
