Ronda Rousey Moving Closer To Potential UFC Return

Ronda Rousey at WWE SummerSlam

With Ronda Rousey seemingly done with WWE it’s been reported that she’s preparing to return to UFC.

At SummerSlam, Rousey wrestled what could well turn out to be her last match in a WWE ring. The star was definitely beaten by her real-life friend Shayna Baszler and there are no plans for her to get back in the ring.

This has sparked speculation that she could be working on a return to UFC, where she had previously become the most famous female combat athlete in the world. Rousey became the first woman to be signed by the promotion, and winning the Bantamweight Championship.

While Dana White recently dismissed claims that Ronda Rousey could return to UFC, a new report has suggested otherwise. The report from the Daily Mail, quotes a confidant of Rousey’s as saying she’s ready to get back in the octagon.

“She just had a match at Summer Slam and is looking to wind down her time and commitments with the WWE and she is now focusing on potentially making a run to have one last fight in the UFC and compete at UFC 300 when that presents itself sometime next year.”

This person added that Rousey “is at a crossroads in her life and career” and is unsure of what comes next.

Brock Lesnar To Join Ronda Rousey In UFC?

There has also been significant speculation that Brock Lesnar could also be heading back to UFC, as he takes his own break from WWE. Speaking to Sports Illustrated, Dana White also dismissed this speculation, despite admitting that Lesnar “looks good.”
