Drew McIntyre References Online Reports At WWE Live Event

Drew McIntyre has commented on numerous reports circulating about his actions after Survivor Series went off the air.

In what seemed an impossibility less than a year ago, CM Punk made his long-awaited return to WWE, much to the shock and delight of fans in the arena. Although most fans were focused on the former AEW star standing on the entrance ramp, others noted the reactions of various Superstars who competed in the main event. As was seen via fan footage on social media, Seth Rollins had an expletive-filled rant aimed at CM Punk and had to be restrained, which is very likely leading to a future storyline between the two former World Champions. However, some are less sure about the reactions of McIntyre.

It was reported that The Scottish Warrior “stormed out” of the Allstate Arena shortly after the main event concluded, with McIntyre already in the back when Punk made his entrance. In a further report by Fightful Select, McIntyre was said to be “upset about a number of things.” However, it is also stated that it isn’t all about Punk and that McIntyre was seen cursing and slamming the locker room door upon his exit.

McIntyre appeared at a live event 24 later in Peoria, Illinois, where he and Shinsuke Nakamura unsuccessfully challenged Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship. Appearing onscreen before he made his entrance, McIntyre referenced his loss at WarGames and the subsequent rumours:

“I didn’t win the World Title match recently, WarGames last night. My stupid team lost the match for me. You’ve heard things probably on the internet. Not in a great place, but there is one thing that can turn frown upside down, that can change things for me, and it’s getting that World Title.

I can’t think of anywhere better than for Big D to finally raise his first world title in front of live fans than right here in Peoria, Illinois. Cheap pop. I have a game plan. I’m going to take Shin’s [Shinsuke Nakamura’s] head and kick it like a field goal. I’ve learn a lot about American football recently. With Seth, I’m going to break his back, make him humble, kick his arse, and take that World Title. Then, we’re having an afterparty, it’s going to be huge,”

After the match, Seth Rollins would get on the microphone and address CM Punk’s WWE return.

Drew McIntyre Unsuccessful At Survivor Series

Hoping to get revenge on Jey Uso, McIntyre teamed with The Judgment Day to compete inside WarGames. The team would lose the match as Cody Rhodes hit a Cross Rhodes onto Damian Priest to pick up the victory for his team, which included a returning Randy Orton.

H/t to Fightful.
