Injured WWE Star Advertised For Return

Randy Orton with headlock on Sheamus

A former WWE Champion who has been on the shelf for months has been advertised for upcoming shows.

Sheamus has been missing in action since being defeated by Edge on the August 18th edition of SmackDown. The match proved to be Edge’s last in WWE as he left the company when his contract expired and joined AEW under his real name, Adam Copeland.

In September, reports emerged that Sheamus is dealing with a “really bad” shoulder injury which has led to a lengthy absence from the ring.

However, that could be about to change, as the Celtic Warrior is being advertised for a SmackDown taping on November 24th. On top of this, he is also part of advertisements for the December 8th and 15th tapings.

It should be noted, though, that these cards are always subject to change, so the advertisements do not confirm Sheamus will definitely be back in action by then, although it is a positive sign for fans.

In recent news, Sheamus is expected to return on November 25th.

Sheamus’ WWE contract set to expire in 2024

Sheamus is one of a number of WWE stars whose contracts will expire in 2024. Other names with deals coming up include Drew McIntyre and Becky Lynch.

It recently emerged that the recent merger of WWE and UFC into TKO Holdings could be causing a change in how contracts are negotiated. One difference is that negotiations have only been taking place with talent who have approached management, rather than the other way around. Meanwhile, others are waiting to find out what the merger means for their future contract offers.
