Who Will Be Teaming With Rey Mysterio And Santos Escobar At Fastlane? [SPOILER]

Rey Mysterio & Santos Escobar

Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar will be getting some help from a familiar face at Fastlane.

On the October 6th episode of SmackDown, Rey Mysterio took on Bobby Lashley in a losing effort, but the biggest story was outside the ring. The Street Profits took out Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde and it was later confirmed by Mysterio that they wouldn’t be able to be at Fastlane.

After delivering the news to Escobar he said he was going to make a phone call. It’s now been reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider that the phone call was to Carlito. Johnson notes that this is finally the storyline way of bringing back the star who signed a new deal over the summer.

Carlito shocked Puerto Rico at WWE Backlash when he came to the aid of Bad Bunny and the LWO as they battled Damian Priest and Judgment Day. In front of a raucous crowd, the Hip Hop megastar overcame Priest in a wild Street Fight which saw Judgment Day, the LWO, and even Savio Vega all make appearances.

In the weeks after the appearance it was reported that Carlito had re-signed and was expected to make his comeback at a SmackDown taping at Madison Square Garden. Despite this, he’s yet to appear on television.

At Fastlane, it will be Rey Mysterio, Santos Escobar, and Carlito vs. Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits.

Still an inspiration in 2023, Rob Van Dam has highly praised Rey Mysterio for all he has done for wrestling.

Rey Mysterio Still Looking For Rematch With Dominik Mysterio

Although he’s got some pretty big problems in his immediate future, Rey Mysterio still has one eye on a rematch with his son Dominik.

The pair met at WrestleMania 39 with the elder Mysterio picking up the win, but the match did little to dampen the tension between them. Despite being on separate brands, Dominik has continued to snipe at his dad, and those comments seemingly haven’t gone unnoticed by the United States Champion.
