Rey Mysterio has a proposition for his son Dominik Mysterio.
With both Superstars on separate brands, the family drama has simmered down, but the Hall of Famer is still keeping an eye on what The Judgment Day member is up to.
Each of the Mysterios has found championship success as Rey currently reigns as United States Champion and Dominik Mysterio reigns as North American Champion.
“Dirty” Dom had a problem with the way that his father won the US Title as he was a last-minute replacement for an injured Santos Escobar. Speaking on The Bump, the legendary luchador has responded to his son’s comments by issuing a warning:
“I was actually reading one of Dom’s comments saying how sad it was for me to have to try and win a title when he had just become North American champion,” Mysterio said. “And I’ll tell you what — if I see him, I’ll slap him right in the face for saying that, because it’s not true. I don’t feel that way. The opportunity was given and I took advantage of it, just like he did.”
The former WWE Champion then pitched an idea for a rematch with the North American Champion where only one of them would walk out with gold around their waist:
“At the end of the day, if we come to bump shoulders again, and he’s still champion and I’m still champion, I would not mind putting this title against his title on the line,”

Following months of Dom provoking his deadbeat dad, Rey would finally snap when his wife was disrespected by his son and agreed to a father vs. son match at WrestleMania. The more experienced Mysterio would be victorious thanks to Bad Bunny ensuring the fight was fair.
Now regarded as one of the top heels on Raw, Dominik Mysterio has been praised for not simply living off of his father’s famous last name.
