Did MJF vs. Kenny Omega Improve AEW Collision Ratings?

MJF and Kenny Omega put on the best match in the short history of AEW Collision, but how many people watched it?

As reported by Wrestlenomics, the October 28th episode drew a total audience of 472,000 viewers and obtained an 18-49 rating of 0.13. Unfortunately for All Elite Wrestling, the show has once again dipped below half a million viewers and saw a drop of 6.5% compared to the October 21st rating of 504,000.

While the World Championship match was the main selling point of the show, fans who tuned in received an update on the condition of Bryan Danielson, who was unable to finish his match on the October 25 episode of Dynamite. Fellow Blackpool Combat Club member Claudio Castagnoli provided the unfortunate news that Bryan Danielson is injured, with it being later revealed that he will be out of action until 2024.

The next episode of Collision will take place on November 4th, the same day that WWE presents Crown Jewel. Even though the Saturday night show suffers in the ratings when WWE PLEs are broadcast, Collision will be largely unaffected as Crown Jewel will air earlier in the day and will be finished much earlier.

However, Collision may be affected by the World Series if it goes down to the wire. Should the best of 7 series require one final game, the decider is pencilled in for November 4th.

MJF To Hit Major Milestone Following AEW Collision Victory

Omega was desperate to defeat The Devil and become the new World Champion, not only to reach the top of the mountain once again but to keep his record for the single-longest reign with the title intact. The result of the match would see the champion defeat the challenger, proving that The Devil is better than The Best Bout Machine. The victory guarantees that MJF will break the all-time AEW record and is closing on one whole year as champion.
