Darby Allin Details “Unheard Of” Plan To Climb Mount Everest: “I Don’t Even Know What I’m Doing”

Darby Allin Mount Everest

Darby Allin is determined to climb Mount Everest despite having no prior experience.

Back in May, Darby Allin revealed his intent to be the first wrestler to climb Mount Everest. The star is no stranger to taking risks in and out of the ring, and has spoken in the past about having no problem being a “guinea pig” to get more eyes on AEW.

The task is a tall one, however, and the star himself laughed as he admitted he has no experience with mountain climbing in a new interview with Forbes.

“I have zero mountain experience, like, zero. I don’t even know what I’m doing. I just signed up, and I’ve got 6 months to train to climb Mount Everest.”

Allin has hired Adventure Consultants out of New Zealand to help him train for the event, and his trainers said that such a short training period is “unheard of” when it comes to conquering this particular mountain. Most people train for years to accomplish the feat, with some even dedicating their whole lives to the task.

Darby Allin Had A Scary Experience Training In France

Continuing, Allin told the story of one training experience in France that could have cost him his life. According to the former TNT Champion, a blizzard forced him and his trainer to go back to the top of a ski mountain after he spent a night in a freezing hut with no power.

“We ended having to hike back, and on the side of a mountain, it’s literally only two feet wide. Fall off one side, you’re for sure dead. If you fall of the other side, you’re for sure dead. The whole time, I’ve just got the biggest smile on my face because I live for this.”

At Full Gear, Darby Allin will team with Sting and Adam Copeland to take on the team of Christian Cage, Nick Wayne, and Luchasaurus.
