Tony Khan Addresses Adam Cole’s Injury

Adam Cole

After Adam Cole‘s rough landing on last week’s AEW Dynamite, Tony Khan has addressed the injury and Cole’s scheduled match at WrestleDream.

During last week’s main event between AEW World Champion MJF and Samoa Joe, Adam Cole ran out to support his “Better Than You Bay Bay” tag team partner.

However, disaster struck as it quickly became evident that Cole had sustained an injury during the run-in. While making his way to the ring, Cole lept from the entrance ramp onto the arena floor and seemed to land very awkwardly on his left foot.

As of yet, no word had been given on Cole’s injury.

In a media call earlier today to promote AEW WrestleDream, Khan was asked about Cole, and the status of “Better Than You Bay Bay”‘s ROH Tag Title defence against “The Righteous” this weekend.

“The Righteous match, as of now, that is still slotted for the event.”

“Adam Cole, he was a little bit ginger on that leg, obviously I think people saw, but we’ll address that on Dynamite.”

“Very excited for tomorrow’s Dynamite. It should be a great show on Wednesday Night Dynamite and we’ll address Adam Cole and everything happening at WrestleDream on tomorrow night’s Dynamite.”

The Righteous, having emerged victorious in a four-way tag match on Rampage, are poised to challenge MJF and Cole for the ROH Tag Team Championships at WrestleDream.

Tony Khan recently apologised for AEW Dynamite technical difficulties during the September 27th broadcast on TBS.

Adam Cole Was Taken To Hospital

Once AEW Dynamite drew to a close, it was revealed that Adam Cole left the arena on crutches, and had to attend a hospital to have his injury examined.

Whether this injury will impact his participation in AEW WrestleDream remains uncertain at this time.
