AEW Announces Huge WrestleDream Event

Tony Khan

Tony Khan has announced that a new AEW pay-per-view is on the way.

Speaking at the post-All In media scrum the AEW confirmed the launch of WrestleDream on October 1st in Seattle. The show falls on the one-year anniversary of Antonio Inoki and will serve as a tribute to the legend.

Khan said that the show will honour “wrestling’s greatest dreamer.”

“I can announce here for the first time that on October 1 at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, it will be the first-ever WrestleDream,” Khan said. “WrestleDream, one-year anniversary of the passing of wrestling’s greatest dreamer. I thought it would be very fitting and after All Out, you won’t have to wait for Full Gear in November.”

Khan told Dave Meltzer that he hopes stars from New Japan Pro-Wrestling will be involved.

“I’m hopeful, I’ve talked to them about it. I think they want to participate in the show and send people and they are very supportive of it and that I want to do something for him,”
