Kevin Owens Returns On WWE Raw

Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens on Raw

Kevin Owens is back!

Sami Zayn opened the August 21st episode of Raw live from the Centre Vidéotron in Québec City. After Zayn entered to a monster ovation he was interrupted by the Judgment Day who quickly surrounded the ring. However, it turned out Zayn had a plan.

The star said he didn’t come to Québec City alone and brought out Kevin Owens.

KO quickly got into the thick of the action taking out both Dominik Mysterio and Finn Balor before giving Damian Priest a Stunner. With the ring clear, Owens challenged any two members of Judgment Day to face him and Zayn later in the show.

In the main event, Owens and Zayn took on Balor and Priest, but the match was over in less than three minutes. JD McDonagh tried sliding the Money In The Bank briefcase to Balor but it was intercepted by Owens who smashed him in the face with it. This caused a disqualification and the rest of Judgment Day attempted to get involved before Cody Rhodes ran to the ring.

As the dust settled, Rhodes challenged Balor, Priest, and Dominik Mysterio to a six-man tag team match, a bout that was made official by Adam Pearce.

The show went off the air with Rhodes, Owens, and Zayn standing tall after pinning Mysterio, Rhodes hit the Cross Rhodes, Zayn followed up with a Helluva Kick and Owens finished the job with a Stunner.

Why Was Kevin Owens Out Of Action?

Prior to the match on Raw, KO hadn’t wrestled on television since July 17th, although he recently took part in a dark match on SmackDown and returned to the live event circuit. Kevin Owens had been dealing with a fractured rib but had worked through it for the most part.
