Kevin Owens Expected To Be Back Soon

Kevin Owens in the ring

Thankfully for all involved, it seems that Kevin Owens will be back in the ring soon.

Following the July 24th episode of Raw, it was reported that Kevin Owens has suffered a legitimate injury. On the show, Owens was attacked backstage during the match between Sami Zayn and Dominik Mysterio. With Zayn on the verge of victory, KO was beaten onto the stage and the distraction enabled Mysterio to steal the win.

Later in the show, Owens was shown getting treatment for a rib injury and reports confirmed that the fractured rib is very much real.

Despite the injury, Dave Meltzer notes in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that KO won’t be out for long.

“Owens had been working for some time with a fractured rib so the Judgment Day attack on him was a way to give him some time off to heal. We don’t know yet how the tag team title situation will be addressed. He’s not supposed to be out for a lengthy period.”

When Did Kevin Owens Get Injured?

While there’s been no word on exactly when or how Kevin Owens suffered the injury, it’s believed that he’s been dealing with the issue for a while.

The former Universal Champion hasn’t wrestled since teaming with Sami Zayn to take on the Judgment Day on July 17th.

Owens may be in no great rush to return to the company, as he has made some new friends at the Detroit Zoo.
