Nia Jax Makes Surprise WWE Return

Nia Jax has made a triumphant return to WWE.

During Monday’s episode of Raw, Nia Jax stormed the ring during the main event between Raquel Rodriguez and Rhea Ripley for the Women’s World Championship. Seizing the opportunity, Ripley capitalised on the chaos and pinned Rodriguez to retain her title.

However, the drama was far from over. Jax proceeded to launch a vicious attack on Ripley, delivering her signature move, the banzai drop in the corner. The shocking assault left Ripley battered and bruised, and the audience in disbelief.

This unexpected return marks a significant moment for Jax, who was released by WWE in November 2021. Since her departure, Jax had largely stayed away from professional wrestling. Her only appearance this year was in the Women’s Royal Rumble match, where she made a brief cameo but was eliminated by a group of determined competitors.

Jax first joined WWE in 2014 and quickly rose through the ranks, making her debut on the main roster in 2016. During her initial tenure, she held the Raw Women’s Championship once and the Women’s Tag Team titles twice, alongside her partner Shayna Baszler. However, their partnership came to a tumultuous end, with Baszler viciously attacking Jax’s arm, trapping it in the steel steps during their last appearance together.

Is Nia Jax Related To The Rock?

Nia Jax is of German and Samoan descent and is the second cousin once removed of Dwayne The Rock Johnson as her father, Joseph, was The Rock’s grandfather, Peter Maivia’s cousin. Jax also shares familial ties with Roman Reigns, however, they are not blood relatives.
