Sonya Deville Gets Support From WWE Hall Of Famer Following Injury

Sonya Deville is definitely going through a rough spell following her injury, but she’s got some big support on her road to recovery.

Deville has been sidelined once again as one half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions tore her ACL in her tag match against Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair on SmackDown. Deville will be out indefinitely with an expectation that she could be out seven to eight months.

While Deville and Green have to feel discouraged at the news, another talent to sympathize is WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley.

Foley has always been a big advocate for women’s wrestling and the Hardcore Legend took to his Instagram to share in the disappointment of Deville being put on the shelf after securing her first WWE title in her career.

“Man, this one hurts… I am a huge fan of Sonya Deville’s tag team with Chelsea Green and they were just getting started on what would have been an incredible run as WWE Tag Team Champions. More than that, Sonya is a great person and wrestler, and truly deserves the best. I hate seeing anyone get dealt such a rough hand, especially when they are doing so well — but I know she’ll be back and better than ever soon.”

Sonya Deville & Chelsea Green Hadn’t Held The Titles For Long

Another unfortunate part about Deville’s injury is that it only occured just a couple weeks after she and Green defeated Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan on WWE Raw. Fans had high hope for the two understated stars but time will tell what the future holds for both women and the Women’s Tag Team gold, belts that have been a bit snake-bitten since their inception.
