Raquel Rodriguez And Liv Morgan Lose WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles

Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez

The reign of Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan is over.

Sonya Deville and Chelsea Green recently became number one contenders for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles, and they didn’t have to wait long for their opportunity.

Things began to unravel for the champions before they even got in the ring after Rhea Ripley confronted them during an interview. Ripley got in the face of Rodriguez and when Morgan tried to get in between them she got a headbutt for her trouble. To add an exclamation point to the attack, Ripley took out Rodriguez’s knee.

Shortly after the beatdown, a trainer told Adam Pearce that he was clearing Rodriguez to wrestle, but recommended that she didn’t and went for scans instead. Despite this, the former NXT Women’s Champion was adamant she’d be wrestling, recalling having to already give up the Tag Team Titles earlier in the year when Morgan got injured.

However, while Rodriguez remained determined, by the time she got the ring, her body simply wouldn’t comply. Deville took out Rodriguez’s knee and Green hit her version of an Unprettier on Morgan to grab the win and the gold.

As the pair celebrated in the ring, Green paid tribute to her fans, parents, and Janine from the tanning salon.

Liv Morgan Attends Barbie Premiere With Margot Robbie

While she might have lost the Tag Team Titles, Liv Morgan’s star outside of WWE continues to rise. The former SmackDown Women’s Champion was recently pictured at the premiere of the new Barbie movie with Margot Robbie, and she’s set to star in a new film alongside Charlotte Flair based on the life of Mildred Burke.

In a new interview, Raquel Rodriguez has revealed plans to join a top faction.
