Talk Of Confrontation Between CM Punk And Miro Overblown

CM Punk

According to a new report, there was no confrontation between CM Punk and Miro.

It’s been a wild three days in the history of CM Punk and AEW. While the company is coming off the biggest show in its history, the discussion after the event has been marred by more backstage chaos involving the former World Champion.

Although it’s widely accepted that there was some kind of physical altercation between Punk and Jack Perry, there were also reports of an incident involving Miro. This came as Miro seemingly took a jab at Punk on social media. According to one side, Miro and Punk ended up at odds, and Punk offered to fight the star.

However, it seems that’s not quite happened. It’s been reported by Sean Ross Sapp via Fightful Select that the interaction between Punk and Miro was actually a joke that got blown out of proportion.

“From one side of things, the Punk side of things, I heard just like… ‘No’.

And then from the Miro side of things, which wasn’t Miro directly – who by the way, quote-tweeted WrestlePurists’ aggregation of Punk’s side (of the Perry situation) and said ‘not true’, so very clearly he wasn’t keen on Punk’s side of things – but they had an interaction after Punk’s match.

It was backstage, either in the trainer’s room or somewhere, and Punk was getting worked on, etc.

I don’t know verbatim what was said because I wasn’t there, but to the best of what has been relayed to me, Miro asked how Punk was doing, Punk said something like, ‘Okay unless you want to fight me too’, as like a joke, type of thing. And again, terminology, not that sure of.

And I believe Miro, also jokingly, apparently, from what I’ve heard, was like, ‘Okay’, Punk said, ‘Well let’s take this outside then’, and Miro said something like, ‘How about we take this… to the ring!

And that’s how it was explained to me by sources that lean definitely each way.

And they giggled about it, and I guess walked off. But it is two guys who are very clearly willing to fight human beings, and also have been known to make a joke or two.”

Is CM Punk Going To Be At AEW All Out?

While the problems between CM Punk and Miro might have been overblown, the issues between the star and Jack Perry appear to have had a big impact. It’s been reported that both CM Punk and Perry have been suspended, with Punk being informed of the sanctions via his lawyer.

The suspension means that Punk will miss All Out in Chicago and his planned match has been scrapped.

In a new update to the story, CJ Perry has revealed that it was all a prank set up by Miro and CM Punk, which had her fooled for 5 hours.
