CJ Perry Makes Shock AEW Debut

CJ Perry

CJ Perry has finally arrived in All Elite Wrestling.

At AEW All Out, Miro took on Powerhouse Hobbs as the pair looked to end their lengthy rivalry. The match itself saw two of AEW’s biggest and strongest stars do battle and they left everything in the ring.

10,000 strong roared their approval as the big meaty men slapped meat, but in the end, it was Miro who scored the win, forcing Hobbs to tap out.

After the bell, the pair shook hands at the behest of Hobbs, but it quickly became apparent that the star was being anything but sincere. As Miro went to leave, Hobbs attacked him from behind, but backup soon arrived.

With Miro in trouble, CJ Perry arrived on the stage to lend a hand, taking a leaf out of the Jeff Hardy book of helping loved ones, getting her pose in, and taking off her shoes before hitting the ring.

Although she didn’t achieve much with a steel chair, the distraction was enough for Miro to get the upper hand. However, once the ring was clear, Miro headed back up the ramp without acknowledging his wife, seemingly questioning whether she was real.

CJ Perry has recently been absent from AEW TV as she has been dealing with an infection that required surgery.

CJ Perry And Miro Rose To Fame In WWE

Appearing as Lana and Rusev, CJ Perry and Miro began working together in NXT before arriving on WWE’s main roster at the 2014 Royal Rumble.

The pair remained together for much of Rusev’s time in WWE, which ended with his release in April 2020. However, as their run progressed, Lana began wrestling more often and became a full-time wrestler by the time her real-life husband departed the company.

During this period, Lana feuded with Nia Jax, later teaming with Naomi in a bid to win the Women’s Tag Team Championships. CJ Perry was released by WWE in June 2021.
