“Do I Let It Go Forever” – Former WWE Star Teases Retirement

WWE logo over roster

Former WWE Superstar CJ Perry has hinted that she could be done with wrestling.

Appearing as Lana and Rusev, CJ Perry and Miro began working together in NXT before arriving on the main roster at the 2014 Royal Rumble.

The pair remained together for much of Rusev’s time in WWE, which ended with his release in April 2020. However, as their run progressed, Lana began wrestling more often and became a full-time wrestler by the time her real-life husband departed the company.

During this period, Lana feuded with Nia Jax, later teaming with Naomi in a bid to win the Women’s Tag Team Championships. WWE released the star in June 2021 and she is yet to return to the ring.

Perry has now seemingly questioned whether she’ll return to wrestling at all. Posting on social media singing along to the Miley Cyrus track Jaded, the star said that it might be time for her to let wrestling go.

The song itself discusses the breakdown of a relationship and all of the regrets and missed opportunities that come with it. In the chorus, Cyrus sings that it was a “shame that things ended like that.”

“#Wrestling became the love of my life for 8 years …. Will it come back to me or do I let it go forever?????”
