Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez are WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions once again, but their victory perhaps owed more to Shayna Baszler than anyone else in the match.
Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler have been in dominant form since winning tag team gold, recently unifying the titles with the NXT Women’s Tag Titles on SmackDown. In fact, it looked as if the only women who could beat them were the champions themselves, and somehow they proved to be true.
The champions began the match as they have done every bout in recent months, in ruthless and devastating form. Liv Morgan ensured she won the hearts of the British crowd with Spice Girl-inspired ring gear and she and Raquel Rodriguez were cheered throughout. Even if those cheers were more in hope than expectation.

However, professional wrestling has never been predictable.
With Raquel Rodriguez down, Morgan was trapped in a submission at the hands of Rousey, seemingly seconds from defeat when Baszler attacked her partner to a monster cheer from the crowd. To hammer home her new-found disgust for her friend, Baszler surveyed the scene and left the ring.
This left the door open for Morgan and Rodriguez to score a stunning victory in front of a bewildered but jubilant crowd.
In recent news, Raquel Rodriguez thanked Chyna for her influence on her WWE career.
