New John Cena Project Announced Following Recent WWE Departure

John Cena is set to make his debut as a talk show host.

As announced by Variety, Cena will be the host of the series “What Drives You.” The 16-time World Champion will join a celebrity guest as they drive around in the guest’s vehicle of choice and engage in personal and humourous conversations. The show is set to air on the Roku Network in the near future.

When discussing the upcoming project, Cena revealed how excited he is to be a part of the new show along with what a car can mean to someone:

“The car you drive and where you drive it can say a lot about who you are, from your personality type to what you value and prioritize the most. ‘What Drives You’ is all about tapping into this and each guest’s unique connection to their car, and a destination close to their heart, as the crux of a candid and wide-ranging conversation. It’s a great opportunity for me to ride shotgun and learn from some of the world’s most entertaining and inspiring individuals.”

With the SAG-AFTRA strike reaching a conclusion imminently, Cena has since departed WWE to resume TV and movie projects that were scrapped as a result of the strike. Cena’s final appearance was a loss to Solo Sikoa at Crown Jewel. Following the match, John Cena revealed that he required a medical procedure.

What’s The Latest On John Cena’s Scrapped Movie?

An upcoming movie that starred Cena hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons the day after the strike reached a tentative agreement. The movie “Coyote vs. Acme,” which had John Cena in a prominent role, was scrapped by Warner Bros. The film cost over $70 million to make but was instead labelled as a tax write-off to recoup $30 million of the costs.

In a U-turn by the studio, which some have linked to the online backlash, the movie based on the Looney Tunes cartoon may be released after all. It is being reported that although Warner Bros. Studios has no intention of releasing the movie starring John Cena, there is an opportunity for another studio to buy the rights from them.
