The Young Bucks & FTR Rivalry “Will Never End” According To Matt Jackson

The Young Bucks and FTR

The Young Bucks and FTR look truly set to fight forever.

The top two tag teams in AEW looked to settle the argument of which team is the best at All In. After a battle that lasted over 20 minutes, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler were victorious over The Jackson brothers. With The Bucks refusing the show of respect after the bell, could this rivalry still be ongoing?

Matt Jackson spoke with Sports Illustrated after the match to reflect on the encounter. Jackson believed everything about the evening was perfect apart from the end result:

“We had 81,000-plus people on their feet screaming exactly when we wanted them to, while we worked one of our greatest rivals, all while we were wearing tribute gear of one of our favorite singers in Wembley Stadium. None of us were injured. We all had a great match. I couldn’t be happier. Well, maybe if the ending was a little different,”

The former Tag Team Champion addressed the status of the FTR and Young Bucks rivalry. Matt Jackson continued, stating that this won’t end until one team retires from in-ring competition:

“As long as we’re all active wrestlers, it’s fair to assume this rivalry will never end. We really wanted to illustrate that it would take anything and everything to get the job done. We’d all emptied our gas tanks and there was nothing left. We all kicked out of moves that were never kicked out of before. It would come down to the wire, like in a fighting video game when both character’s energy meters are on red. Whoever is luckiest to get in that last shot wins. They were the better team last night,”

Could The Young Bucks And FTR Have A Rematch At All Out?

Unfortunately, one of the biggest headlines coming out of All In is the ongoing investigation between CM Punk and Jack Perry. With both men now reportedly suspended from the company and likely to miss the next pay-per-view, Tony Khan may need to hastily book a marquee match for the show that is taking place 7 days on from the Wembley Stadium show.
