FTR vs The Young Bucks Officially Announced For AEW All In

FTR in AEW

If you needed any added reassurance that FTR vs. Young Bucks III was actually happening, Tony Khan provided it for you.

The AEW President made it officially official via a post on The X sharing the AEW All In graphic featuring The Tag Team Champions along with Matt & Nick Jackson.

“As announced tonight on AEW Dynamite, on the biggest stage in pro wrestling, FTR will defend the World Tag Team Title vs Young Bucks!”

Dax Harwood has some words on AEW Collision to add some extra “bounce” to his and Cash Wheeler’s rubber match with The Young Bucks.

“Young Bucks…I said we had unfinished business, so how’s about we finish it at Wembley Stadium?”

“80,000 strong. Young Bucks, FTR, number three, the rubber match. Who is the greatest tag team of all time? Top guys, out.” [h/t Haus of Wrestling]

The History Between FTR & The Young Bucks

There’s a storied history between the two teams both in the ring and behind the curtain. The first fight of FTR and The Bucks went down nearly three years ago at Full Gear 2020 with The Bucks getting the W, but the match flew a little under the radar as it took place during the global pandemic.

The second fight didn’t take place until 2022 when FTR captured the AEW Tag Team gold against Matt & Nick on an episode of AEW Dynamite, but that was all before the tension burst open at All Out 2022. As evident on television, FTR are very close with CM Punk.

Punk infamously got into a brawl backstage following the event after Punk targeted a diatribe directed at The Elite. FTR weren’t backstage at the time, but a line seemed to be drawn between the two parties. However, a report from Dave Meltzer made it known that the relationship between FTR and The Bucks are in a good spot despite the differences with CM Punk.
