Jon Moxley Unable To Compete At Independent Wrestling Event

Jon Moxley

Jon Moxley’s match at an indie show was cancelled close to his scheduled return to action on Dynamite.

Moxley was scheduled to compete for Wrestling Revolver on October 8th in a lucha street fight against Gringo Loco but the match was changed at the last minute.

Loco made his entrance first followed by Moxley, who was not dressed to compete. Seen swearing and shaking his head while walking to the ring, the former World Champion announced that he had not been cleared to compete and this was the second time this has happened at Wrestling Revolver. Moxley ended his promo by introducing his replacement, Rich Swann. Gringo Loco would go on to win the match.

Not wanting to let the fans down, Moxley did appear for multiple Wrestling Revolver shows over the weekend and took part in a meet and greet with the fans.

The former International Champion is scheduled to challenge current champion Rey Fenix on October 10th to attempt to get the title back. However, with Moxley not cleared to compete so close to the upcoming match on AEW Dynamite, his status for the show looks to be in doubt.

When Did Jon Moxley Last Wrestle?

Mox is approaching 3 weeks on the sidelines due to the events that took place at AEW Grand Slam on September 20th. Defending the International Championship against Rey Fenix, Jon Moxley would suffer a terrifying injury, forcing plans to change and Fenix to be crowned the new champion.

Although not able to compete, Jon Moxley has kept himself busy by providing guest commentary for multiple matches, something he has admitted was pretty fun.
