Jon Moxley Still Not Cleared For In-Ring Return

Jon Moxley Set For Huge Championship Match At AEW All Out

Jon Moxley will remain on the sidelines a little longer.

The three-time AEW World Champion was scheduled to challenge Rey Fenix for the International Title on the October 10th episode of Dynamite. However, during the buy-in, Tony Khan revealed that Moxley hadn’t been cleared to compete.

The star suffered a concussion during a match against Fenixt at Dynamite Grand Slam. Moxley had been due to retain the International Title in the match, but due to the injury, he changed the finish in the ring, making Fenix the new champion.

There’s been no word on when Moxley will be back in the ring.

Who Took Jon Moxley’s Place On AEW Dynamite?

With Moxley still out of action, a new challenger stepped forward to take on Fenix, and that challenger turned out to be former champion Orange Cassidy.

After a back-and-forth encounter, Orange Cassidy got the win following an Orange Punch and Mouse Trap pin. The loss ended Fenix’s unplanned reign at just 20 days.

Cassidy held the All-Atlantic/International Title for a total of 326 days before being defeated by Moxley at All Out 2023.

Elsewhere on the show, Hikaru Shida became the Women’s World Champion for the third time — becoming the only three-time Women’s Champion in company history in the process.

Meanwhile, Adam Copeland made a winning start to life in AEW, overcoming Luchasaurus, and Bryan Danielson became the number one contender for the TNT Title by getting the better of Swerve Strickland.

Another injury forced a change to the following edition of Collision, with Tony Khan pulling one match hours before the show.
