Match Dropped From AEW Collision Due To Injury

One match scheduled for AEW Collision was called off due to an injury.

In recent weeks, the company has seen several injuries. The Title Tuesday edition of Dynamite was impacted when Jon Moxley had to be removed from his International Championship match against Rey Fenix when he was not cleared to compete.

Instead, Fenix defended the title against another former champion in Orange Cassidy. Cassidy was able to overcome the star to recapture the gold he lost to Moxley at All Out in September.

Another injured star is Adam Cole, who has been unable to compete since Grand Slam. There, he suffered a severe injury when he assisted MJF during his World Title match against Samoa Joe. The incident led to him requiring ankle surgery, leaving MJF to defend the ROH Tag Team Titles on his own.

AEW Collision match scrapped because of late injury

Hours before Collision went on the air, Tony Khan took to social media to reveal an injury meant that the scheduled bout between Komander and Brian Cage was being postponed for the time being.

“Due to late injury, this @KomandercrMX vs @briancagegmsi match has been postponed. Thank you all watching #AEWCollision tonight on TNT!”

Cage followed up on the post with one of his own, apologising to fans and joking thaty he had been looking forward to throwing Komander over Lake Michigan.

“Sorry, everyone. Was looking fwd to throwing komander over lake Michigan, so hopefully, there’s a lake nearby on the redue. Thanks for the match, Tony. Looking fwd to this and more to come.”

The October 14th episode of AEW Collision would also have a strong week in the ratings.
