WWE SmackDown featured a Roman Reigns-LA Knight contract signing, John Cena on the show again and plenty more.
This week’s SmackDown took place at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee with Michael Cole, Corey Graves & Kevin Patrick on commentary.
The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and LA Knight had a contract signing to start the show. The Smackdown GM Nick Aldis was in the ring with them. Knight signed first. They exchanged words with Knight showing a lot of confidence about how he was going to win while Reigns dismissed him as a guy that wasn’t a threat. After Reigns signed, Knight spoke some more and Reigns threw the table onto him.
There was a fight between Reigns and Knight. Reigns had the advantage while also setting up a table in the ring. Knight managed to fight back, so Reigns escaped. Jimmy Uso showed up to fight Reigns, who had bailed to the floor. Knight gave Jimmy a belly-to-back slam through the table to end the segment.
Match #1: The Street Profits – Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins (w/Bobby Lashley) defeated LWO – Carlito & Santos Escobar by pinfall. Rey Mysterio, the US Champion, was watching his LWO buddies from backstage. Logan Paul attacked Rey with a punch from behind. Carlito and Santos saw it, so Carlito went to the back. The Street Profits hit the Revelation double team move (spinebuster-neckbreaker combo) with Dawkins pinning Escobar to win.
Roman Reigns was in his locker room. He wanted Jimmy Uso to face LA Knight later in the show, so Paul Heyman left to go ask for the match.
Logan Paul bragged about how his fist was as big as Rey Mysterio’s head. Paul had a brief staredown with Kevin Owens, who was wearing a Rey shirt. Owens argued with Austin Theory & Grayson Waller about how they had punchable faces. Owens did one punch to knock both guys down.
Match #2: Shotzi defeated Chelsea Green (w/Piper Niven). Green tried doing a cocky pin, so Shotzi hooked her arms for the pinfall win.
John Cena did a promo talking about how his match with Solo Sikoa at Crown Jewel was a “must-win” for him. The crowd was really supportive of Cena, who worried that he might lose and let the fans down. Paul Heyman interrupted to suck up to Cena saying he can talk like nobody else on this planet.
Heyman praised Cena for being a good guy saying that Heyman told his kids to be like Cena rather than be like Heyman. Heyman also warned Cena that if Solo Sikoa hits Cena with a Samoan Spike then Cena won’t be able to speak. Heyman told Cena he can’t win against Solo Sikoa at Crown Jewel while adding that’s not a prediction, that’s a spoiler. Solo Sikoa attacked Cena from behind. Solo hit the Samoan Spike to the throat and Cena was down selling it.
Match #3: Dragon Lee defeated Cedric Alexander by pinfall. Lee won with a move where he flipped over Cedric and dropped him with a reverse DDT. They shook hands after the match as a sign of respect.
Bianca Belair did an in-ring about wanting to get revenge against Damage CTRL for taking her out two months ago. Belair announced she will face IYO SKY for the WWE Women’s Title at Crown Jewel. Belair will also face Bayley next week on Smackdown. Damage CTRL was shown watching this on a TV backstage.
Match #4:LA Knight defeated Jimmy Uso by pinfall. Knight won clean with the BFT (Blount Force Trauma) after about 13 minutes.
After the match, LA Knight was celebrating the win. Roman Reigns tried a sneak attack with a Spear, but Knight moved and Reigns hit the turnbuckle. Knight hit the BFT on Reigns. Knight trash-talked Reigns to end the show.

The next episode of SmackDown airing on November 3rd was taped after this week’s show due to the Crown Jewel PLE. Going into it, WWE was only advertising two things.
