Update On Ronda Rousey’s In-Ring Future Following Surprise ROH Appearance

WWE Hall Of Famer Believes Ronda Rousey Is Overrated In The Wrestling Industry

A new report confirms Ronda Rousey’s plans for her immediate future.

On November 17th, Ronda Rousey shocked the world when she appeared at the Ring of Honor tapings immediately following AEW Dynamite and Collision. She teamed with longtime friend Marina Shafir to take on the team of Athena and Billie Starkz. The same tag team match took place at Pro Wrestling Revolver and went to a no contest on November 16th.

According to one report from Dave Meltzer, Ronda Rousey’s Ring of Honor appearance was orchestrated to solve a complex political issue that arose from Tony Khan needing to approve all matches involving ROH talent. That same report noted that Rousey’s appearance was a one-off and that she was looking to work with Marina Shafir one more time before she goes to have another child.

Will Ronda Rousey Appear In ROH Again?

A new update from PWInsider confirms that Rousey is not in talks with ROH about any sort of deal as she is not looking to pursue wrestling in her short-term future. The report states that the star is putting focus on her family at this time but that the door is always open in the future. Mike Johnson writes:

“We are told that Rousey is focused on putting her family first in the months ahead beyond promoting her upcoming memoir Our Fight, which will be released in April 2024. We are told that actively performing in pro wrestling is not something Rousey is focusing on.

“Rousey’s appearances for Ring of Honor and Pro Wrestling Revolver were more about having the chance to work with Marina Shafir, who is one of her closest friends, than it was about getting back in the ring to pursue a post-WWE career. That said, the door is obviously open should she ever want to talk with Tony Khan (or WWE for that matter) in the future.”
