Becky Lynch Shockingly Loses NXT Women's Championship

Becky Lynch has been defeated.

As seen in the main event of the Halloween Havoc special of NXT on October 24th, The Man surprisingly lost the title to Lyra Valkyria following a sudden pin from the challenger.

The match had a big fight feel before the opening bell as Jade Cargill was seen watching on from the stage with a keen interest in the outcome and offering her congratulations to the winner.

At one point it appeared that Lynch’s reign would continue as she hit a Manhandle Slam onto Valkyria, but the challenger kicked out at the last second, much to the shock of the champion. As Lynch went for a second slam, Valkyria rolled through to win the match and the championship. After the bell, Lynch handed Valkyria the title and embraced the new champion, giving a glowing endorsement as the show came to a close.

The victory marks Valkyria’s first championship reign in WWE and brings Lynch’s time as champion to an end at 42 days. Becky Lynch defeated Tiffany Stratton on the September 12th episode of NXT to win the one title that has alluded her throughout her career.

This was the second championship to change hands on the show, as Andre Chase and Duke Hudson defeated Tony D’Angelo and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo to become the new NXT Tag Team Champions.

In recent news, Becky Lynch has reflected on her time as NXT Women’s Champion.

Becky Lynch Suffered A Gruesome Injury While Champion

The highlight of Lynch’s reign was an extreme rules match against Stratton in the main event of No Mercy. Both competitors gave it their all with just about every weapon imaginable utilised in the no-disqualification contest including Barbie dolls and a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire. The Man would feel the after-effects for a number of weeks as an elbow injury would prevent her from competing on multiple episodes of WWE Raw, which Becky Lynch showed off on social media.

With Jade Cargill in attendance, the recent signee is yet to have a match in WWE despite being a part of the company for nearly 2 months. Answering the critics, Jade Cargill has given her thoughts on not wrestling.
