Jimmy Uso Comments On 2021 DUI

Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso

Jimmy Uso says he “faced the noise” in the wake of his DUI arrest.

Uso was arrested in Florida in July 2021 for driving at 50mph in a 35mph zone, while his sobriety tests recorded a BOC of .202 and .205 – well above the legal limit of .08. The arrest was his second DUI in two years.

While many believed the incident would affect his career, that same month he and his brother Jey captured the SmackDown Tag Team Championships to begin a reign that lasted 622 days and saw them unify those titles with their Raw counterparts.

Throughout that time, they were also a prominent part of The Bloodline storyline which continues to this day.

“We always stood right in front of our mess” – Jimmy Uso

During an interview with Ariel Helwani of BT Sport, Jimmy was asked if he was concerned about the arrest’s impact on his wrestling career.

“No, I wasn’t. When we show up to work, we’re there. Everybody has their issues outside of work. Everybody is human and makes mistakes as they go through it. As long as you face the noise, that’s something we always did.

“Even if we get in trouble, aired out, we always stood right in front of our mess, right in front of our noise, pushed through it, learned from it, and then keep it moving. That’s always been our way.”

Jey Uso echoed his brother’s sentiments, saying the pair proved themselves every time they hit the ring.

“”Made ’em say, ‘Oh, this is why we keep them,’ every time we stepped out. Whatever happened, the next night we go out there and let them know, ‘no matter what happens, this is why we keep the Usos.’

“Like my brother said, we face the noise. Always stand together. It’s real hard because everyone has something to say. You walk these shoes. You can’t. It takes special people to do what we do. Y’all sit back and enjoy the show like the rest of the people.”

The latest chapter of The Bloodline saga played out at Money In The Bank when The Usos went to war with Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa.

Shockingly, The Usos not only came out on top, but Jey pinned his former Tribal Chief, handing him his first pinfall loss since 2019.
