AEW WrestleDream Set To Return In 2024

AEW President Tony Khan has revealed that WrestleDream will now be an annual event.

The inaugural WrestleDream took place in 2023, serving as a tribute to the late wrestling legend Antonio Inoki, who passed away on October 1st, 2022. Khan expressed his satisfaction with the tremendous response received for AEW WrestleDream, stating that it garnered over 100,000 buys, surpassing the AEW All Out event.

Khan revealed during the WrestleDream post-show media scrum that the event will return in 2024. While Khan did not confirm the specific details for WrestleDream 2024, he did mention that it might not be held in Seattle, leaving fans eager to learn of a potential new location.

I can’t speak a year ahead as to where the event will be, but there will definitely be a WrestleDream, it was a very critically successful event and a lot of people are telling me it was the best show they’ve seen in wrestling.

The decision to establish WrestleDream as a recurring event could have to do with the rumours that AEW is looking to expand its PPV schedule to 12 pay-per-views per year. Fans will have to wait and see what the 2024 edition of WrestleDream will bring.

When Is The Next AEW PPV?

The next AEW PPV that has been confirmed is Full Gear which is scheduled to take place at the Kia Forum Arena in Inglewood, California on November 18th, 2023.

So far there have been no matches confirmed for Full Gear. However, it is likely that recently signed Adam Copeland, formerly known as Edge, will feature at the event as it could mark his first pay-per-view match for AEW as he only appeared to make a save in his WrestleDream debut.

In a new update on October 24th, AEW looks to add another PPV in December which will also affect Ring of Honor.
