CM Punk is back in AEW, and the speculation around what that means for the locker room continues to rumble on.

The two-time AEW World Champion appeared on the brink of leaving the company when he took The Elite and others to task during the post-All Out media scrum in 2022, before getting into a fight with the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega backstage.

With the star already injured, Punk then disappeared from the promotion for nine months before returning on the debut episode of Collision. During a promo addressing his return, Punk made reference to The Bucks, and it’s been reported that The Elite has no desire to work with the former WWE Star.

In an exclusive new interview with Nick Hausman for Inside The Ropes, former WWE and WCW star Crowbar called on all involved to get over their issues and work together. The veteran explained that people working nine-to-five jobs have to work with people they don’t like all the time but find a way to deal with it, so the four highly-paid wrestlers should find a way to do the same.

“This is just me, I’m trying to be PC but this is it, okay. There are people out there working nine-to-five jobs for minimum wage. And they work with other people in cubicles that they don’t get along with. And they have to find a way to get past it and get the job done. That’s their job.

You’re getting paid millions of dollars to do something that you love doing. F*ck it, just find a way to do it. You’re all in high up positions. Something that you want to do is going to materialise on a TV because of where you are, just f*cking find a way to get along. You’re getting paid crazy money. People work minimum wage jobs with people that they can’t stand and they find a way to make your work.”

Continuing on, Crowbar expressed his admiration for everyone involved as performers but again reminded them just how lucky they are to work in wrestling, be involved in creative, and get incredibly well paid along the way.

“They’re all great, great performers, they do incredible stuff. They’re all beloved to the audience in all different ways…

If you’re in that position for AEW, all those guys are clearly getting ideas that will make it to the screen, you may not get them all because there’s a lot of different bubbles and different factions but something you come up with is going to make it, you’re going to influence it. You’re getting paid a lot of money to do something that you clearly enjoy or have an interest in. Just f*cking find a way to get along. I just don’t get it.”

To date, CM Punk and Kenny Omega have only been in the same building once, and that was for Forbidden Door in June. On that occasion, it was reported that the two stars were
kept well apart.
