Kenny Omega will make his in-ring debut for IMPACT Wrestling at IMPACT Hard To Kill this January, teaming with former Bullet Club brethren The Good Brothers!
Omega once again appeared on this week’s IMPACT! following a Final Resolution cameo and his IMPACT debut last Tuesday, appearing multiple times throughout the night. The AEW World Champion would rile up ‘Machine Gun’ Karl Anderson after seeing some disrespectful comments the Motor City Machine Guns made towards Anderson in an interview, saying “you don’t talk to the 2012 G1 finalist like that!”
Anderson, who’s currently one half of the IMPACT Tag Team Champions, would attempt to jump Chris Sabin ahead of their match in the main event of the show, but was headed off by IMPACT World Champion Rich Swann. Swann compared Anderson to a turkey for taking orders for Omega before MCMG appeared to outnumber the ‘Machine Gun’, who wisely backed off.
We cut back to Omega later in the show, who was irate over Swann’s involvement and said he was “sorry about what he was about to do”. In the main event, Anderson managed to defeat Sabin via roll-up, but it was the aftermath that was most shocking. Anderson would punch Swann backstage, prompting Sabin & Shelley to retaliate before Doc Gallows returned to take both of MCMG out.
Swann would deliver a superkick to Gallows before Omega appeared and whacked Swann over the head with a wet floor sign! Omega would stand over the IMPACT World Champion whilst proclaiming to Swann that “as long as you’re a wrestler, you’re in my world!” before Don Callis would make the Hard To Kill main event official: Kenny Omega & The Good Brothers Vs. Rich Swann & The Motor City Machine Guns.

The match is the second to be announced for what looks to be a stacked Hard To Kill, where we’ll also see the IMPACT Knockouts Tag Team Champions crowned for the first time since 2013! It looks as though next month’s pay-per-view will certainly live up the standards of its predecessor, which saw Tessa Blanchard become the first-ever woman to capture the IMPACT World Championship last January.
