Roman Reigns Confirmed For WWE Money In The Bank

Roman Reigns and The Bloodline WWE SmackDown

WWE has announced that Roman Reigns will be in London for the June 30th episode of Friday Night SmackDown, and Money In The Bank the following night.

Both Money In The Bank and SmackDown will come live from the O2 Arena on an exciting weekend for WWE fans in the UK and around the world.

The June 30th edition of SmackDown will be the first to be held in the UK since November 2019. Meanwhile, the show will also mark the first time that SmackDown will be broadcast live at 8pm in the UK on BT Sport.

Money In The Bank has become a staple of WWE’s Premium Live Event calendar since becoming a standalone show in 2010. The match that gave the show its name debuted at WrestleMania 21 and was won by Edge.

The 2022 edition of the event was held in Las Vegas, with Austin Theory winning the men’s Ladder Match while Liv Morgan was triumphant in the women’s match. Morgan famously cashed in her contract that very night to win the SmackDown Women’s Title from Ronda Rousey.

Roman Reigns Aiming For More Championship Gold

On the May 12th edition of WWE SmackDown, Roman Reigns made his first return to the blue brand since WrestleMania 39. On the show, the Tribal Chief demanded an apology from The Usos for losing and then failing to regain the Undisputed Tag Team Titles. Although Jimmy didn’t seem to grasp the gravity of the situation, Jey stepped in to apologise and ask for one more chance to win the titles.

Reigns then confirmed that the titles will indeed be coming back to The Bloodline, before handing the microphone to Paul Heyman. At this, the Special Counsel announced that Reigns will team with Solo Sikoa at Night of Champions on May 27th to take on champions Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, news that left The Usos stunned.

Continuing the part-time schedule, Roman Reigns looks set to miss a historical WWE show in 2024.

Final remaining single event tickets for SmackDown and Money In The Bank will be available this Friday, May 19 at 10 am BST via Ticketmaster.co.uk and TheO2.co.uk.
