LuFisto Blasts “Toxic Environment” Within AEW Women’s Division

Britt Baker, Rebel and Jamie Hayter making their entrance in AEW

Independent wrestling star LuFisto has branded the AEW women’s division as “toxic” and seemingly hit out at one major star in particular!

LuFisto is one of North America’s longest-serving female stars on the independent scene, having wrestled since 1997 and known primarily for her work in all-women promotions Shimmer and Shine.

The Canadian veteran has been all across the wrestling world including AEW, competing in her one and only match for the promotion on the April 11th 2022 edition of AEW Dark Elevation in a 6-woman tag which saw her, Emi Sakura and The Bunny lose to Anna Jay, Ruby Soho and Skye Blue.

Now, LuFisto has seemingly discussed her experience with the AEW women’s division and certainly didn’t hold back with her thoughts! Posting on social media, the independent star responded to recent concerns regarding the booking of the division.

“It’s cute how people blame booking for a bad women’s division. Talent with too much power; talent denigrating each other; talent trash-talking potential employees so they never get in as soon as they walk in… It starts here. – The one you called FN French Canadian a**hole”

It’s not clear who exactly LuFisto was referencing at the end of the tweet. Some fans claimed it may have been Britt Baker, but Sean Ross Sapp has since debunked this via Fightful Select as LuFisto confirmed to them that Baker is not involved.

She later followed up on the tweet, replying to a fan who said she had ruined her chance of working for the promotion ever again, stating that she has “no need for such a toxic environment.”
