Former WWE Superstar Manu Hospitalised With Serious Cardiac Issue

Former WWE Superstar Afa Anoa’i Jr., known by fans as Manu during his tenure with the company, is reportedly “fighting for his life” in hospital as he is facing a complex cardiac issue.

Before the rise of current WWE stars like Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa, the Anoa’i dynasty was represented by Afa Anoa’i Jr., known to fans as Manu. However, the wrestling world was recently shaken by news of Afa Jr.’s failing health. According to a GoFundMe page set up for him, Afa Jr. has been in the hospital since September 23rd, battling a complex cardiovascular issue that has put his life at risk.

The fundraiser description reveals the severity of Afa Jr.’s condition. His heart injection fraction is only operating at 35%, and his heart is filling with fluid by the hour. To cover the significant medical expenses associated with his treatment, the GoFundMe campaign aims to raise $100,000. The wrestling community has come together, sending prayers and support to the Anoa’i family during this difficult time.

Will Manu Join The Bloodline In WWE?

While Afa Jr. has not been actively involved in the current WWE storyline featuring the Bloodline, where Roman Reigns claims to be providing for the entire family, he has been following the developments closely and in an interview last year Afa Jr. teased that he was “waiting in the wings” to join the Bloodline.

Afa Jr. revealed that WWE reached out to him earlier this year, even visiting his training school to film footage of him. He was also featured in an episode of Hidden Treasures on A&E, alongside WWE Hall of Famers Mick Foley and Rikishi. Afa Jr. expressed his desire to make a comeback in WWE, as he felt his initial run did not go as planned.
